The Cocker Spaniel is incredibly positive. He is always cheerful, always ready to play and communicate. However, this is not a dog that will please any person-cockers are quite distrustful of outsiders. This is never expressed in the form of aggression, but the dog will simply keep a distance, not allowing familiarity.
