Galgo Español (8/10)

The first written mention of the Galgo Español - the ancestor of the Spanish galgo - dates back to the second century AD. Then the consul of the Roman province of Betica wrote that these dogs were used in the popular at that time hunting for hares. The Iberians were highly prized by representatives of all classes for their agility, speed, and a keen sense of smell.
