Pomeranian (7/10)

The breed received its official name in honor of the historical region of Pomerania, which is located on the Baltic coast. The exact place where these dogs came from is unknown, but some researchers associate their appearance with the northern European part - where the German Spitz comes from. The Pomeranians gained wide popularity in the 18th century, being pets of ordinary people, and after falling into the families of the aristocracy and royal palaces.
