Body Temperature. 100.5 -101.5F (38.1C – 38.6C) but may be as high as 101.8 (38.8C) in stressful situations, such as at the vet’s office.
Pulse. 70 beats per minute in large dogs; 120 beats per minute in small dogs. These rates are based on the animal being at rest – excitement, fear may increase the rate.
Respiratory Rate. 10 – 30 breaths per minute at rest or may be higher after exertion. Smaller animals tend to breathe faster.
