Introduction: What is an Aidi?
The Aidi, also known as the Moroccan mountain dog, is a breed of dog that originated in North Africa. They are known for their loyalty, bravery, and protective nature, making them excellent guard dogs. Aidis have a medium build with a strong, muscular body, and they have a thick coat that can be black, brown, or white. They are highly intelligent, independent, and can be stubborn, so they require a firm, consistent hand in their training.
Understanding the Reproductive Cycle of the Aidi
Like all dogs, the reproductive cycle of Aidis involves a series of physiological and hormonal changes that prepare the female for mating and pregnancy. The estrus cycle, also known as the heat cycle, is the period in which the female is receptive to mating. It typically occurs every six months and lasts around three weeks. During this time, the female will show signs of being in heat, such as restlessness, increased urination, and a swollen vulva. If she mates during this period, she will become pregnant and carry the litter for around nine weeks. After giving birth, the female will go through a period of lactation, during which she will nurse and care for her puppies until they are weaned.
