The Jack Russell Terrier breed was bred in the UK about 200 years ago and is considered a relatively young breed. The creator of the breed, Pastor John (Jack) Russell, looked at the breed from a purely pragmatic point of view. He created a dog ideal for hunting foxes and other small animals, so special attention was paid to such features as fearlessness, excitement, intelligence, speed, and the ability to easily penetrate holes. That is why the height of the dog is 25-30 cm. The creator gave the main attention to the character, not the appearance, therefore the dog is considered one of the most charismatic and charming breeds.
