The Rat Terrier was created in Great Britain from the smooth-haired Fox Terriers and Manchester Terriers in 1820. These dogs were distinguished by their amazing ability to deal with rats and soon took a leading position in this carnage. It is known that one Rat Terrier killed more than 2500 rats in seven hours. It is the best suited for life on a farm, where it cleans the barn of rodents.
