Housing for American Saddlebreds
When it comes to housing American Saddlebreds, the most important factor is providing them with enough space. These horses are active and need room to move around and run, so a large pasture or paddock is ideal. Additionally, American Saddlebreds should have access to a shelter or barn to protect them from extreme weather conditions. Stalls are not necessary unless the horse is injured or needs to be temporarily confined for medical reasons. If a stall is used, it should be at least 12 feet by 12 feet in size to allow for adequate movement. The stall should also be cleaned daily, and fresh bedding should be provided to keep the horse comfortable.
