In his home country of England, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier has earned the nickname "nanny dog" for its reputation as a playmate and guardian for children. Despite its fierce appearance, this dog is affectionate and non-aggressive. The breed is kind, obedient, and cheerful. Although not looking for problems, Staffordshire will not give up the challenge and does not always agree with other dogs. Obedience training is possible, although this is not Staffordshire's greatest strength.
