Huskies also needed a gentle disposition.

What does a Pit Bull look like with a husky?
I said earlier that the results can be noticeable, but what features are guaranteed?
The short answer is none.
Huskies and pit bulls are both quite unusual in color. For most pedigree dogs, the breed club has a limited number of coordinated colors.
But many colors are allowed for both huskies and pit bulls.
On the other hand, when it comes to fur, the two breeds are not the same at all.
Very different coats
Huskies are immediately recognizable by their thick, long coat. They have a dense undercoat that is covered with long guard hair.
They are, in a word, fluffy.
Whereas Pitbulls have very short, sleek coats that feel stiff.
More differences
In addition, huskies and pit bulls have very different body shapes.
They also differ in terms of eye shapes and colors, different ears … and so on
So, when there are a pit bull and a husky buddy, there is no predicting what the pups will look like until they are born.
They could look very husky-like, very pit bull-like, or a combination of the two.
If looks are important to you, this is the place to consider.
It’s something to consider if you’re ever attempted to deposit an unborn puppy.
How big does a husky Pit Bull get?
Male pit bulls are usually between 18 and 21 cm tall and the females are slightly smaller at 43 – 50 cm.
Male pit bulls weigh between 33 and 60 pounds, and the females weigh the scales at 13 to 22 kg (29 to 49 pounds).
Huskies are a bit bigger.
Male sled dogs should be between 53 and 61 cm and between 20 and 27 kg (44-60 lb) at the withers.
Female sled dogs grow to be 51-56 cm and 16-23 kg (35-51 lb).
That’s a lot of numbers to take with you, but a Pit Bull and Husky mix dog will end up somewhere on the scale between the smallest bitch pit bull and the largest male husky: so a compact 17 inch, 29lb bitch, or 43cm, 13kg (29lb) a 61cm, 27kg (24 in, 60lb) male.
What is the temperament of husky and Pit Bull mixed dogs like?
The American Kennel Club describes huskies as loyal, mischievous, outgoing, friendly, dignified, watchful, and non-aggressive.
And the United Kennel Club (which accepts pit bulls registrations) describes pit bulls as confident, intelligent, ready to work, and willing to be satisfied, enthusiastic, and extremely friendly, even with strangers. They also find that the breed is gentle and good for children.
As with appearance, a Pitsky puppy can inherit any quality of a parent.
But there are many personality parallels between huskies and pit bulls, so combining them is probably more predictable than mixing breeds with more different temperaments.
Good with kids ?! I thought pit bulls were dangerous?
The UK’s description of the pit bulls may have led you to take a double punch.
Now, let’s turn to concerns about pit bulls and whether or not they are supposed to prevent you from getting a Husky Pit Bull Cross.
Dog aggression is of great concern to the public, so there are a number of studies we can use to educate ourselves.
A special report in Veterinary Medicine Today (2000) examined 244 fatal cases of dog deaths in the US between 1979 and 1996 in which the dog breed was recorded. 76 were caused by pit bull-type dogs or pit bull crossbreeds.
They were the type of dog that was responsible for most of the deaths.
(Interestingly, the second most responsible type was the German Shepherd. Americans trusted the breed enough to make it their second favorite breed of 2016, and husky dogs and their crossbreeds were responsible for 21 deaths – the fourth most common breed overall.)
In 2014, when a literature review by the American Veterinary Medical Association found that pit bulls are not disproportionately aggressive towards people.
In fact, they found that collies, spaniels, and toy dogs all bite people.
This is backed up by a 2008 study of Breed Differences in Aggression in Dogs, which found that breeds with the highest percentage of dogs showing severe aggression towards humans were Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, Jack Russell Terriers, Cocker Spaniels and Beagles were.
So pit bulls aren’t as prone to bite people as their reputation suggests. In fact, all studies agreed that breed alone is a poor predictor of aggression.
The reality, however, is that when pit bulls bite, their sheer strength and gripping bite style mean they are likely to do a lot more damage than a small dog.
In the 2008 publication, Pit Bulls was specifically advised that they were more likely to exhibit serious aggression towards unfamiliar dogs.

How they wish to channel this energy can vary somewhat from individual to individual.

Both pit bulls and huskies are prone to uncomfortable skin conditions.
Pit bulls are more likely to suffer from Demodex Canis mites than other breeds.
These tiny creatures live on the skin and cause mange. Sore, itchy skin and coat loss are symptoms.
Mites naturally live in small numbers on the coats of most dogs. However, something in the genetic makeup of pit bulls means that they are more likely to overwhelm the immune system.
Huskies are prone to an inherited skin condition called follicular dysplasia, which leads to hair loss and dry skin.
