The dog breed Inca Orchid Dog has many other names. Perro sin Pelo del Peru, Orchid Dog of the Incas, or Peruvian Hairless Dog are some of them. The dog of Peruvian origin has at least as many facets.
Inca Orchid Dog Character, Training and Attitude
Archaeological finds show that dogs amazingly resembling him have existed for over a thousand years. Different theories regarding its origin are traded among experts. Wealthy Incas valued the naked dogs, as evidenced by scenes depicted on ceramics. Look

The medium sizes are between 40 and 51 centimeters, with eight to twelve kilograms.
The large hairless dogs weigh 12 to 25 kilograms and reach a height of 51 to 70 centimeters. What all dogs have in common is the lack of hair. Small tufts of hair are permissible on the head, around the edges of the ears, as well as on the paws and tail. A slender body with a straight back supports the high set neck and the low-slung tail. It is often carried tucked in between the hind legs. The slender, sinewy legs fit well into the image of the fast runner. Sporting activities suit him – as a companion dog for cyclists, joggers, or ambitious hikers.
In demanding movement, he defies even cool temperatures and adverse weather.
